What happens if I have to cancel a walk or sitting service?

I walk one dog or dogs from the same household at a time. I do make your dogs safety my priority which is why we will stay in your neighbourhood and maybe run into some of their friends on our adventure.

*** I do enjoy when two separate families (who live close to each other) who have dogs that are playmates and can be walked together because this allows them to have a very secure and protected walk with me but while enjoying each others company. (ask for details)

Do you do group or off leash walks?

Can you accommodate last minute request?

So there are a few reasons why I do NOT do group or off leash walks. My priority is yours dogs safety and I take that seriously. It is very hard to manage one dog that is having issues or fighting with another dog in the group while maintaining many other dogs all on leash. Again hard to make your precious dog a priority when I'm watching numerous other dogs, our surroundings and others we meet on the way.

As for off leash, again many reasons but mostly your dogs safety. I can not control any of the other dogs in the park that might attack one of them in my care and not everyone is a responsible owner to be diligent of their own dogs behaviour, plus dogs run and frolick and chase each other off the beaten path and can fall in holes, land on broken sticks, eat dead carcass that I can't see or get caught up in his/her desire to chase a rabbit/deer into the woods and get lost.

In a dog park or on trails with other dogs there are  alot of unknown variables that I can not control but walking your dog on leash in its environment is a way I keep your dog safe and secure to make sure he comes home safe.

Tips

Tip #1 Cats nails

My cats do not enjoy having their nails clipped but it needs to be done to save my skin, my others cats and also for themselves so the trick that I do is that I wait for when they are sleeping and I always have my nails clippers near by. I might only get one paw done a night but over a course of a few nights their nails will be cat.  Please be mindful when cutting your cats/dogs nails and your are aware of where you are cutting because you don't want to cut their quick which does grow though the middle of their nails. If you don't know what I mean

Tip #2 Water Fountains

I highly recommend water fountains for both dogs and cats. Our pets don't have people and reminders to drink more water but if we give them something that is always providing them clean cold water they might be more inclined to drink a bit more.  There are numerous health benefits to our pets getting enough water just like there are for us. We enjoy a nice cold glass or fresh water and so do they.

Tip # Cat Litter

Tip # Cat Litter

I used to be like most people and always on the look out for the cheapest litter there was.  Then one day I noticed I was coughing a lot and saw a film on my furniture I hadn't noticed before.  I was buying the standard clay litter sold at Costco.  Well because of my own reaction to this I started researching how this would be affecting my cats who are actually digging away in it.  Well clay litter actually is very harmful for cats and they are ingesting this dust into their lungs.  As a human my lungs are much larger than theirs and it was affecting me.  So I did my research on alternatives and came to find The Worlds Best cat litter and it is made with CORN. Plus its environmentally safe, flush-able and not harmful to my cats and virtually dust free.  I literally could tell a difference in the air quality a week later.  Also I found out how harmful and unnecessary scented litter is.  Cats sense of smell is alot more heightened than ours so the smallest amount of smells are enough for them.  They do not NEED scented litter plus all those chemicals to make it smell pretty for US are not good for them either, and no one knows my litter box is by my front door because its UNSCENTED.  I suggest try unscented and you'll notice a big difference because a little box smells like a litter box because of the scented litter.  Save your kitties lungs and nose and by an unscented safe alternative to clay. Your kitty will thank you. (Canadian Tire sells the big bags for a decent price)
